DishwasherHero+ Community Guidelines
DishwasherHero+ connects hospitality businesses with professional kitchen workers across North America. The quality and reliability of that connection depends on every member of our community — businesses and workers alike — upholding the same standards of professionalism, honesty, and mutual respect.
These community guidelines apply to all users of the DishwasherHero+ platform. They are not a legal document — they are a shared code of conduct for the hospitality professionals and businesses who make this platform work.
For Businesses — What We Expect
Accurate Shift Information
When you post a shift on DishwasherHero+, provide accurate information: the correct start time, expected duration, physical requirements, and dress code. Workers arrive prepared based on what you post. Inaccurate shift details — especially around hours or physical demands — undermine trust and affect worker safety.
Respectful Workplace Standards
Every DishwasherHero+ worker is an employed professional. They are to be treated with the same respect you would extend to any member of your permanent team. Verbal abuse, discriminatory language, or unsafe working conditions are grounds for immediate removal from the platform.
Honest Shift Reviews
Your shift reviews help other businesses understand worker quality and help workers improve. Rate based on actual performance — punctuality, professionalism, work quality. Do not use reviews to penalise workers for circumstances outside their control, and do not post reviews in retaliation for a worker raising a legitimate concern.
Timely Payment and Hour Confirmation
Confirm hours accurately and promptly after each shift. DishwasherHero+ processes payment automatically based on your confirmation. Disputing hours that were genuinely worked — or delaying confirmation without cause — harms workers who depend on prompt payment and undermines the trust that makes on-demand staffing work.
For Workers — Your Professional Commitments
Reliability Above All Else
The single most important quality on this platform is reliability. When you accept a shift, a kitchen is counting on you. No-shows and last-minute cancellations have real consequences for the businesses and their teams. If you cannot make a shift, cancel with as much notice as possible through the platform — never simply fail to show up.
Arrive Ready to Work
Arrive on time, in appropriate kitchen attire (non-slip shoes, clean clothes), and ready to work immediately. Businesses book through DishwasherHero+ because they need professional coverage — not because they have time to provide basic kitchen induction for workers who aren't prepared.
Represent Your Experience Honestly
Your platform profile must accurately reflect your experience and skills. DishwasherHero+ requires a minimum of two years of commercial kitchen experience. Do not accept shifts for roles you are not qualified to perform — a line cook shift requires genuine line cook experience. Misrepresentation harms the businesses that rely on this platform and damages the reputation of every professional on it.
Professional Conduct on Shift
You are a DishwasherHero+ professional while on shift. That means following the client's kitchen protocols, maintaining your station to the standards set by the business, and working as part of their team — not as a visitor. Use your phone only during designated breaks. Leave the kitchen in the same condition you found it, or better.
What We Don't Tolerate — From Anyone
- Harassment, discrimination, or abusive conduct of any kind toward any person
- Falsifying hours, experience, or shift confirmations
- Using the platform to recruit workers or businesses for off-platform arrangements
- Sharing another user's personal information outside the platform
- Any conduct that creates an unsafe working environment
Reporting a Concern
If you experience or witness conduct that violates these guidelines, report it through the platform or contact our support team directly at +1-888-601-1615. All reports are taken seriously and reviewed promptly. Workers and businesses who consistently violate these standards will be removed from the platform.
