    Denver Event Staffing Agencies Compared

Denver buys event labour through three channels that rarely share a supplier. Conventions run through the Colorado Convention Center and the Gaylord Rockies, and firms like J. Kent Staffing and NYE Staffing name both by name. Sport and live music run through Ball Arena, Empower Field, Coors Field, Red Rocks and Mission Ballroom, where the requirement is ushers, access control, concessions and suites on a recurring game-day rota rather than a one-off crew. Catering and private events run separately again, across downtown, Cherry Creek and the Front Range.

    20 firms screened · 9 met the criteria · last reviewed 2026-08-17

That third channel — stadium and arena work — is what makes Denver different from most markets in this series. Several firms here exist mainly to staff venues rather than events: Argus and Stadium People publish crowd management, parking and ticket-taking and nothing else. If you are staffing a wedding, they are the wrong call, and if you are staffing a Saturday at a 76,000-seat stadium, most of the catering-side firms are.

Kitchen roles are published by four of the nine firms here, which is a better rate than San Diego or New York. Denver Event Staffing names dishwashers, prep cooks and line cooks inside its stadium roster, Premium Event Staffing names back-of-house as a category with kitchen assistants and sauté chefs under it, Y.Lo Epicure lists chefs alongside its service roster, and Instawork's Denver culinary category names dishwashers, line cooks and prep cooks individually.

Classification is the weak spot. Only Denver Event Staffing publishes W-2 status on its own site, stating outright that its staff are employees and not 1099 contractors, and backing it with named workers' compensation cover. Six of the nine publish nothing either way. That is not an accusation — it is a gap in the public record, and it means the classification question has to be asked on a call in this city rather than answered by reading. The comparison covers nine firms with a client-facing Denver page on their own domain, ordered by how squarely that published offer matches event staffing rather than by any score.

    How this list was built

We screened 20 firms; 9 met the inclusion criteria.

We started from twenty firms surfaced by searching for event, catering, convention, stadium and hospitality staffing in Denver, including the agencies appearing in local results for those searches. Every claim on this page had to be verifiable on the firm's own website — directory listings, marketplaces, map listings and review sites were not accepted as a source for a firm's own claims. Firms with no Denver-specific client-facing page on their own domain, firms whose Denver page would not serve content, and one firm whose Denver page carried copy written for another city were kept out of the main list. Nine firms met the bar. They are ordered by how squarely their published offer matches event staffing in Denver, not by any score, and we publish no ratings or review counts. Where a firm a Denver buyer will plainly encounter is not on this list, we name it below and say why. DishwasherHero is one of the firms operating in this market, so treat this as a comparison written by a participant: we say where we fit and, just as plainly, where we do not.

National marketplaces and national staffing firms are included here, and labelled as such. A Denver buyer's real options include national players, and a comparison that hid them would be less useful. Where a firm is a marketplace rather than an agency, or a national account rather than a local team, its card says so.

One firm in this comparison publishes W-2 classification for its Denver staff: Denver Event Staffing, which states plainly that its people are employees rather than 1099 contractors. DishwasherHero publishes W-2 as well. Instawork operates as a self-serve marketplace, and J. Kent Staffing publishes direct hire and temp-to-hire lines without stating classification for event work. For the remaining six firms, classification is not published on their Denver pages, so we could not verify it. Denver is the weakest market in this series for published classification — a limit of what firms put on the public record, not a finding about how they operate. Ask directly if it matters to your procurement.

    • Concession cashiers and stand leads
    • Suite attendants and guest services
    • Event setup and teardown
    • Cleaning crew
    • Hotel housekeeping, front desk and banquet support

Publishes kitchen roles explicitly within its stadium and venue roster — dishwashers, prep cooks and line cooks appear alongside concessions, suites and guest services rather than being implied by a catering heading.

    Markets served

local coverage. Based in the Denver metro and names Ball Arena, Coors Field, Empower Field, the Colorado Convention Center, Denver International Airport, the National Western Center, the Denver Coliseum, Fiddler's Green and Red Rocks among the venues it works.

    Engagement model

    W-2 employees

States plainly that its staff are W-2 employees and not 1099 contractors, and publishes workers' compensation cover through a named Colorado carrier alongside background checks and TIPS/ServSafe certification.

    Who they suit

Denver venues, stadiums and hotels that want one supplier across concessions, suites, kitchen and cleaning rather than three, and want the classification and insurance question answered on the website before the first call.

    2.

    Premium Event Staffing

    Regional agency
    Not published

Multi-state event staffing firm with a Colorado operation covering Denver and the Front Range, publishing a cross-trained roster that spans back-of-house prep support and front-of-house service.

    Visit Premium Event Staffing

    What they staff

    • Back-of-house staff
    • Kitchen assistants
    • Sauté chefs
    • Banquet staff and servers
    • TIPS-certified bartenders and beverage support
    • Captains and event management
    • Housemen and porters
    • Setup and breakdown crews
    • Registration and trade booth support
    • Brand ambassadors
    • Coat check and concession workers

Names back-of-house as its own category and lists kitchen assistants and sauté chefs as distinct titles, so culinary support is published rather than inferred.

    Markets served

regional coverage. Publishes a Colorado page covering Denver and the surrounding Front Range alongside its Illinois and Texas locations. No specific Denver venues are named on the page.

    Engagement model

    Not published

Publishes general liability and liquor liability cover and describes staff as cross-trained, but does not state W-2, 1099 or marketplace classification, so we could not verify it.

    Who they suit

Hosts of weddings, private parties and festivals across Denver and the Front Range who want one cross-trained crew handling prep support and service rather than contracting each role separately.

    3.

    Y.Lo Epicure Catering

    Local agency
    Not published

Denver catering company with an in-house staffing arm, supplying chefs, captains, bartenders and service staff for parties, fundraisers, weddings and corporate events.

    Visit Y.Lo Epicure Catering

    What they staff

    • Captains
    • Chefs
    • Bartenders
    • Servers
    • Bussers
    • Passers

Chefs are one of six named roles, so kitchen labour is published. The roster is small and catering-shaped rather than a full staffing line — there is no dish pit or porter role listed.

    Markets served

local coverage. Publishes a single Denver address on Santa Fe Drive and names no other city or region, so treat coverage as the Denver metro only.

    Engagement model

    Not published

Staffing is offered as an add-on to catering, booked for a minimum block of time. Classification is not stated on the page, so we could not verify it.

    Who they suit

Weddings, private parties and corporate events already ordering catering from Y.Lo that want chefs, servers and bartenders bundled with the food rather than sourced from a second supplier.

    4.

    NYE Staffing

    National agency
    Not published

Event staffing brand running a dedicated Denver operation for private, corporate and promotional events, with certified bartenders and insured service staff.

    Visit NYE Staffing

    What they staff

    • Bartenders
    • Wait staff and party servers
    • Catering service staff
    • Registration staff
    • Trade show staff
    • Brand ambassadors and promotional models

Catering staffing is named as a category, but no kitchen titles appear — no cooks, chefs or dishwashers are listed on the Denver page, so this is a front-of-house offer.

    Markets served

local coverage. Names Downtown, Cherry Creek, RiNo, Capitol Hill, LoDo, Union Station and the Denver Tech Center, and publishes a downtown Denver service address.

    Engagement model

    Not published

Publishes liability and liquor liability cover and states its bartenders are TIPS certified, but does not state W-2, 1099 or marketplace classification on the Denver page. Its San Diego page does publish W-2, which is a reminder that classification can differ by market — confirm it for Denver directly.

    Who they suit

Private hosts and corporate planners in central Denver who need bartenders, servers and promotional staff with coordinator support on the day, and do not need kitchen cover.

    5.

    J. Kent Staffing

    Regional agency
    Temp-to-hire
    Direct hire

Long-established Denver staffing firm with an events and hospitality practice supporting conference, convention and wedding work across the metro.

    Visit J. Kent Staffing

    What they staff

    • Registration and booth staff
    • Event management support
    • Conference customer service staff
    • Wedding service and waiting staff

The page describes roles by function rather than publishing a titled roster, and names no kitchen positions. Treat the role list as indicative and confirm scope on a call.

    Markets served

regional coverage. Centres its event work on the Colorado Convention Center and the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center, serving local, national and international event companies running dates in Denver.

    Engagement model

    Temp-to-hire · Direct hire

Publishes direct hire and temp-to-hire as general staffing lines. The events and hospitality page itself makes no W-2 or 1099 statement for event staff, so classification is unverified for that work.

    Who they suit

Conference and convention organisers working the Colorado Convention Center or Gaylord Rockies who want an established local firm handling registration and event support rather than a gig marketplace.

    6.

    Air Fresh Marketing

    National agency
    Not published

Experiential marketing staffing agency headquartered in Denver, describing the city as its deepest talent pool for brand ambassadors, promotional models and trade show staff.

    Visit Air Fresh Marketing

    What they staff

    • Brand ambassadors
    • Promotional models
    • Trade show staff
    • Event coordinators
    • Street teams
    • Sampling staff

A promotional roster end to end. No kitchen or back-of-house roles appear on the Denver page.

    Markets served

national coverage. Publishes Denver as its headquarters and names the Colorado Convention Center, Red Rocks, Empower Field, Ball Arena, Coors Field, the Great American Beer Festival, Outdoor Retailer and the National Western Stock Show.

    Engagement model

    Not published

Publishes talent pool size and deployment speed but no W-2, 1099 or marketplace classification, so we could not verify it.

    Who they suit

Brands running an activation, trade show booth or sampling programme in Denver that need trained consumer-facing staff rather than event or kitchen labour.

    7.

    Stadium People

    National agency
    Not published

Venue guest-services staffing firm working with stadiums, arenas, performing arts centres and event venues in Denver, with national coverage behind it.

    Visit Stadium People

    What they staff

    • Ushers
    • Ticket takers
    • Access control staff
    • Parking management
    • Concierge and premium suite staff
    • ADA accommodation staff
    • Bag check staff

Strictly venue guest-facing and access-control positions. No kitchen or catering roles appear on the Denver page.

    Markets served

national coverage. Publishes a Denver-specific page and states a presence in numerous Denver venues, though it names none of them, so venue-level experience has to be confirmed on a call.

    Engagement model

    Not published

No classification language appears on the Denver page. The firm publishes security licensing held in other states, which is not the same as an employment classification statement.

    Who they suit

Stadiums, arenas and performing arts venues that need ushers, ticket takers and access control for a recurring game-day or show operation rather than a one-off event crew.

    8.

    Argus Event Staffing, LLC

    Local agency
    Not published

Colorado-only firm providing event staffing and commercial patrol services to venues and properties across the state, built around crowd management and access.

    Visit Argus Event Staffing, LLC

    What they staff

    • Crowd management staff
    • Convention centre services
    • Parking and traffic services
    • Commercial patrol
    • Group fundraising staff

Publishes services rather than an itemised role list, and names no back-of-house work. This is venue access, patrol and crowd-management labour only.

    Markets served

local coverage. Names Ball Arena, the Denver Arts Complex, Denver University hockey, Empower Field at Mile High and Mission Ballroom among the venues it staffs across Colorado.

    Engagement model

    Not published

Runs its own employment portal for applicants but does not state whether workers are W-2 employees or contractors, so classification is unverified.

    Who they suit

Colorado stadiums, arenas and concert venues needing recurring game-day and show-night crowd management, parking and patrol rather than catering or promotional labour.

    9.

    Instawork

    National marketplace
    Self-serve marketplace

On-demand marketplace for culinary and hospitality shifts across the Denver metro, with businesses posting shifts and workers claiming them through the platform.

    Visit Instawork

    What they staff

    • Dishwashers
    • Line cooks
    • Prep cooks
    • Servers
    • Bussers
    • Bartenders
    • Counter staff and cashiers
    • Custodial staff

Its Denver culinary category names kitchen roles individually — dishwashers, line cooks and prep cooks — which is unusual among the firms here and makes it a genuine back-of-house option.

    Markets served

local coverage. Publishes coverage across Denver, Lakewood and Aurora for on-demand, seasonal and temp-to-hire shifts.

    Engagement model

    Self-serve marketplace

Operates as a shift marketplace rather than an agency payroll relationship. The Denver page does not use the terms W-2 or 1099, so classification is not verifiable there.

    Who they suit

Restaurants, caterers and dining operations that want to post shifts and manage matching themselves, filling gaps shift by shift rather than briefing an agency to own a crew.

When another agency is the better call

Some needs are not event staffing, and no firm on the main list is the right answer for them. These firms are — each one verified on its own website.

    • TUMI Hospitalityongoing hotel department staffing

Publishes W-2 hotel staffing across housekeeping, food and beverage and maintenance for Denver properties. That is property operations on a standing contract rather than event-day labour — the right call if your gap is a department, not a date.

    • AV LeadsAV and production crew

Publishes audio visual labour and crewing for the Denver area, including lead engineers, assist technicians and warehouse help. A technical crew pool rather than service or kitchen staffing.

    • Event Cleanup Servicepost-event cleanup and teardown

Firms we screened and left off, and why

These firms turn up in Denver searches — several in the map pack — but did not make the main list. Rather than omit them silently, here is each one and the reason.

    • All Aces / Acespromo

Seen in: Denver organic results · checked 2026-08-17

Its Denver event staffing page would not serve content to us on repeated attempts, so there was nothing on its own domain we could read and source a claim to. Named here rather than described from third-party listings.

    • Assist Marketing

Seen in: Denver organic results · checked 2026-08-17

    Where DishwasherHero fits in Denver

DishwasherHero staffs back-of-house only in Denver: dishwashers, kitchen porters, prep cooks, line cooks, general cleaning and banquet BOH support. We do not staff ushers, ticket takers, brand ambassadors, registration desks or bartenders. For a game-day guest-services rota or a Red Rocks show, Argus and Stadium People are built for that work and we are not.

We are also not the only back-of-house option here, and Denver has more of them than most cities in this series. Denver Event Staffing publishes dishwashers, prep cooks and line cooks as part of a full venue roster; Premium Event Staffing publishes kitchen assistants and sauté chefs; Y.Lo Epicure supplies chefs with its catering; Instawork lists kitchen roles shift by shift. If you want a single supplier covering concessions, suites and the kitchen behind them, Denver Event Staffing is a direct and credible choice.

Where we differ is narrow. Denver Event Staffing publishes W-2 classification, as we do, so on that point we are one of two and not one of one — the honest read is that this city has a local competitor with a comparable published position. Our difference is the shape of the engagement: we do back-of-house and nothing else, and we fill same-day where a shift is open, which suits a kitchen that lost two people this morning rather than a venue contracting a season of coverage.

The case for calling us is narrow: a restaurant, caterer, hotel or venue food operation that has service covered and cannot staff the kitchen behind it, at short notice, with people whose employment status is verifiable. For a full venue operation across concourse and kitchen, or a season-long stadium rota, the local venue specialists above are the more direct fit.

Stadium and arena staffing in Denver

Venue work is its own market here. Argus publishes crowd management, parking, traffic and convention centre services across Colorado and names Ball Arena, Empower Field, Mission Ballroom, the Denver Arts Complex and university sport among the places it staffs. Stadium People publishes ushering, ticket-taking, access control, concierge and premium suite staffing for Denver venues. Denver Event Staffing spans both sides, publishing concessions, suites, cleaning and kitchen roles under one roster.

Two things matter when buying this work. First, it is recurring rather than one-off — a season of home dates is contracted differently from a single event, and the firms built for it will quote it that way. Second, ask which roles are licensed: crowd management and patrol sit closer to security than to hospitality, and the licensing question is worth settling before you contract.

Convention and conference staffing in Denver

The Colorado Convention Center and the Gaylord Rockies anchor the conference calendar, and both are named directly by firms here. J. Kent Staffing centres its events practice on those two venues and has a long local track record. NYE Staffing publishes registration and trade show staff across downtown and the Tech Center. Air Fresh Marketing runs its national operation out of Denver and names the convention centre alongside Outdoor Retailer and the National Western Stock Show.

Be explicit at quote stage about whether you need staff who can run a registration desk unsupervised or simply manage attendee flow — those are different roles at different rates, and every firm here prices them separately. Confirm load-in windows and any venue labour requirements before contracting.

Catering, wedding and festival staffing on the Front Range

Denver's event season runs hardest from late spring through autumn, and firms here describe cross-trained staff who flex between service, setup and breakdown to cope with variable shift lengths across that peak. Premium Event Staffing covers Denver and the surrounding Front Range with a roster spanning back-of-house and front-of-house. Y.Lo Epicure bundles chefs, captains, servers and bussers with its catering. NYE Staffing covers downtown and the central neighbourhoods for private and corporate hosts.

For a catered event, book kitchen roles before service staff. Servers and bartenders can usually be sourced close to the date; a dish and prep team for a large plated dinner cannot, and a short dish pit stalls plating inside the first hour. Festival dates in the summer and the Great American Beer Festival window tighten availability across every firm at once.

    Denver event staffing FAQ

For service and promotional staff, most firms here will quote within a few days and many will fill same-week. For kitchen and back-of-house roles, allow four to six weeks for anything over twenty people. The May-to-October event season, the Great American Beer Festival, Outdoor Retailer and the National Western Stock Show tighten availability across every firm at once, so treat those windows as longer-lead regardless of role.
