Who We Are!
DishwasherHero is a platform that connects experienced freelance dishwashers to restaurants, caterers, special events and commercial kitchens in cities around the world. As one of our Heroes, you will have access to many good paying shifts available in your city! Pick and choose where you want to work with our platform and you can make a schedule that works best for you.
How does DishwasherHero work?
As a DishwasherHero, you are an independent contractor working freelance with shifts available for work through our online platform. You’ll be notified instantly when a shift is available in your city.
When a client in your city places an order for a dishwasher, all dishwashers in the city will receive a text message and an email with the date, time and address of the shift. Shifts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you can work for the shift, simply log into the website, click the “Apply now” button to read all the details about that shift and click the “Apply now” button a second time to pick that shift. You will receive a confirmation call, text or email when you pick up a shift so make sure we are able to reach you. Otherwise your shift will be reassigned to someone else.
What is the job description?
Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up work station as required, including filling the dish machine, checking chemical levels, pre-soaking, and gathering required set-up equipment for appropriate work stations.
- Rinse/scrape all dishes.
- Operate dishwashing machine to manufacturer’s specifications and instructions.
- Place clean dishes in assigned storage location.
- Check the working condition of equipment and machinery in accordance with specifications.
- Sort and remove trash.
- Empty and clean trash cans when they become full, transport garbage containers from kitchen and work areas to dump sites, adhere to recycling regulations.
- Clean garbage cans.
- Set up and monitor the pot sink according to procedures.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floor at the end of each meal period and after each spill.
- Monitor chemicals and water temperature during shift.
- Clean and organize associated work area and kitchen equipment according to procedures to maximize efficiency.
- Sweep or scrub floors.
- Assist with food prep if required.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds and be on your feet for long periods of time.

In which cities can we get shifts?
We operate in major cities around the world. To find out more, you have to register your profile and select a city where you want to apply for shifts.
What is required to join DishwasherHero?
To join DishwasherHero, you’ll need to meet these requirements:
- Be at least 21 years old; All freelance contractors must meet this age requirement in order to join DishwasherHero.
- Be able to work in one of our active cities in your country.
- Be able to provide personal information for an ID verification, including a government Social or National Insurance Number. Your personal information is securely stored and maintained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Have a Bank or a Financial Institution account in the country you are actually residing. Your money may be deposited in a savings accounts, prepaid debit cards, and reloadable bank cards.
- Have a smartphone. You’ll be managing your shift through our DishwasherHero app, which is compatible with iOS or Android. You must have iOS 9.0 or later, or an Android version 4.3 or later.
Can I join DishwasherHero if I am a disable person?
DishwasherHero is open to everybody. However, all potential candidate must meet the physical requirement and job description in order to join our platform.
Would I be considered as a DishwasherHero Employee?
No. Dishwashers picking up shifts from DishwasherHero’s platform are freelancers, independent contractors and not employees of DishwasherHero. Independent, freelance contractors have the flexibility to work wherever or whenever they want.
Are dishwashers covered on every shift in case of injuries?
The dishwashers who joins our platform are independent contractors. DishwasherHero always encourage them to have their own private insurance. In case of injuries and depending on the country they are from, the dishwasher will rely on their own health coverage.
In the United States and in certain states, DishwasherHero offers to dishwashers the opportunity to purchase an occupational accident insurance that will cover them for every shift they have picked from our platform. With its occupational accident insurance, the dishwasher is bound and covered for up to $1,000,000 in Accident Medical Expense under policy number US1274880 from Crum & Forster Specialty Insurance Company.
Dishwashers from other countries have to rely upon their national health care system.

What’s the difference between DishwasherHero and other traditional staff agency?
DishwasherHero pays its dishwasher with the highest hourly pay in the staffing industry. We pay the most because we expect the best quality service from our dishwashers and the best experience for our clients. By doing so, we offer our clients a pretty good confidence on our brand. If they trust our brand, it means the will book more shift with us. So, more shifts for our dishwashers.
What kind of training and certification programs do you offer?
DishwasherHero offers no training and certificate. You join the platform because you are motivated freelance contractor with extensive experience as dishwasher in a commercial kitchen with good knowledge of food handling procedures.
What is the benefit to join DishwasherHero?
When you join DishwasherHero platform, we offer you all those benefits:

Dishwasher is the highest paying on-demand, part-time job and temp job app. We usually pay above minimum wage. Not only we pay the most but we also offer our loyal and hardworking dishwashers some benefits like money for referrals, staff perks, bonus, rewards and better discounts by completing more shifts. For referrals bonus, the condition is that the person has to complete 40 hours in thirty (30) days. You will receive your bonus on the next payout of that thirty (30) days. We only accept referrals of new workers that have never worked with DishwasherHero.
How many shifts can I can work?
You can pick as many shifts you want. You are a freelance contractor. You are your own boss and you control your expense and revenue. You pick as many shifts you want.
What if I don’t see any available shift?
All shifts are posted in the app on a regular basis. If you don’t see any shifts in your area, it means that it is already taken by another dishwasher. However, do continue to check on new shifts. Our marketing team are working hard on making new partnerships to launch more jobs in your city soon!

How can I contact Support Team?

ON-BOARDING
Do I need experience to join your platform?
To join our platform, you need at least a year of experience in a commercial kitchen (restaurant, caterer, hotel or other venue with a commercial dishwashing machine). Please remember we have a dress code: black pants (black jeans are fine, but no shorts or skirts,) a black T-shirt, and black non-slip closed-toe kitchen shoes.
What do I need to do to register?
It’s very simple. Once you’ve registered, upload a picture of yourself as well as two forms of government-issued photo ID. You’ll then be sent a digital contract that can be signed on your phone or computer. This will have to be completed before you will be allowed to work a shift.
What is a professional profile picture?
You need to upload a professional profile picture of yourself in order to continue to find work with DishwasherHero. You have to be faced on the camera and alone on that picture. If your profile picture does not respect this requirement, your account will be suspended until an update is done.
What is my application status?
Our platform is very popular. We receive thousands of applications every day to register the platform. Our onboarding team processes new applicants as quickly as possible. If you have uploaded your profile picture and two (2) government identification document, you can expect to get a response as soon as possible.
Why does onboarding process takes so long?
As we have mentioned on the other answers, our platform is very popular. We operate globally. We have thousands of registrations every day. We are very strict about who join the platform. We are only looking for reliable and professional dishwashers. In order to accelerate your onboarding process, you must respect our requirements. Your account can be activated if the following are uploaded: one (1) professional profile picture, one (1) government identification card with your picture, one (1) picture of your social or national security card, one (1) government document such as work permit and finally, you must upload a resume or C.V. Those documents are mandatory. We do not allow people without a work permit and we do not pay cash or undeclared revenue. All revenues are declared to tax authorities. You can send to support@dishwasherhero.com more details about your previous experience and reference numbers of former employers in the food industries. If we have those, you can expect to be activated very quickly.
Is there a vetting or a reference check process?
Yes. When DishwasherHero gives you access to its platform, the Support Team will review your application, you will be vetted and we will also call your past restaurants references to make sure that you have the extensive experience requested to join our team.
Do you run a background check?
DishwasherHero may run a background check when you apply to join its platform. It is a process to maintaining trust and safety. We run background checks with a third-party provider, Evident. If you receive a negative result and your access to the platform has been denied, you can dispute the accuracy of the information in the report directly with the consumer reporting agency or contact the consumer reporting agency at support@evidentid.com.
The background process takes up to 72 hours. If there are any issues with a pending background check, you will be notified by Evident. The background check will run a Social Security Number verification, global watchlist, national criminal and sex offender searches.
However, if you see any errors or inaccuracies in your report, contact our Support Team within the ten (10) business days of receiving the email with the subjects above.
What is DocuSign? Is it secure?
DishwasherHero uses DocuSign, an electronic signature system that allows you to sign many of the required intake documents. DocuSign is a cloud-based service provider that offers a fast, easy and secure way to electronically sign documents. While you are always welcome to sign all documents at our office, the electronic signature process also gives you the time to read through the documents at your leisure.
I forgot my user ID and/or password. How do I access online training?
If you forgot your user ID or password, go to the login page click Forgot my User ID? or Forgot password? and follow the steps. If you still have questions, contact the Support Team. For program questions, contact support@dishwasherhero.com.
PAYMENT
How much do I get paid?
DishwasherHero pays hourly. When you pick up a shift, the approximate amount is indicated. You may get paid a time and a half on statutory holidays. For more information, you may contact our Support team.
How and when do we pay?
We pay every two weeks. DishwasherHero pay-period starts on Monday and ends on Sunday. We release payment the following Friday of the pay period before midnight. For direct deposit, payment typically take 2-3 business days in order for your money to reflect in your account. You should expect your money in your account around Wednesday. Standard business days are Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays. If Wednesday falls on a holiday, deposit will be done the following business day. If you want to inquire about your payment, please contact our Support Team at support@dishwasherhero.com.
What if my pay is delayed?
If your payment does not arrive on Wednesday, contact your bank to inquire about processing day. In some cases, payment may take longer because weekends and holidays are not business days. If payday is on a national holiday, please consult your bank to inquire if national holidays will delay any deposits. If you do not receive your pay please make sure payment information is updated or contact our Support Team. In order to help us help you, please provide the agent with the following information and we will do our very best to track down the problem and make sure you are paid as soon as we can get this worked out. We will need the name of the location you’ve worked, the date of the shift, the shift number and the payment amount due.
Is my tax purposes reported?
DishwasherHero reports to tax authorities your earnings of each year. As a freelance contractor, you are responsible to report your tax to the appropriate body of government. DishwasherHero do not withhold taxes from the money we pay you. Which mean you need to set aside a portion of each paycheque to pay your taxes at the end of the year. We will send you your tax document from DishwasherHero usually in late January.
Can I get a letter of employment?
We do not give letter of employment or respond to requests for job title, date of hire, rate of pay, or probability of continued employment. As a freelance contractor, you are responsible as a business owner of your accounting and your incomes.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation Policy
Time is valuable for clients and freelancers. Our platform is flexible. However, last minute cancellation erodes the customer’s ability to rely on DishwasherHero. If you cancel a shift too close to the schedule time, you may be subject to our terms and conditions or simply be removed from our platform.
If you’re unable to make it to a shift that you’ve picked up, you can remove it without any consequence up to 48 hours in advance. Within 48 hours, though, and you may be subject to our terms and conditions and to be removed. Once, you are removed from the DishwasherHero platform you cannot be reactivated.
Need help with a shift today
If there’s an issue with a shift on your schedule today, we will help you to solve that problem. Just contact us through our chatline or at support@dishwasherhero.com. Give as much details as possible and the more quickly we will be able to assist you.
What should I not do?
You have agreed to join DishwasherHero with the knowledge that you are an independent contractor. You are free to pick up or not to pick up shift. When you pick a shift, based on our terms and condition, you are bond to show up otherwise you will simply be removed.
-No-show. We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. If you have applied for a job, you have committed to go. No-shows dishwashers will be deleted from the platform the first time. No exceptions.
-Leave work before the client allows you to go. Sometimes you will be asked to stay past the time listed on the website until the work is finished. You must stay until everything is done to the client’s satisfaction.
-Use a cell phone at work. Phones must be switched off until the shift is finished.
-Attempt to contact the restaurant asking about pay or anything else. You are working in accordance to the terms and conditions of DishwasherHero – We handle your pay, not the client (restaurant).
-Demonstrate inappropriate behaviour of any kind. Be professional.
Once, you are removed from the DishwasherHero platform, you cannot be reactivated.
SAFETY
Is a liability insurance required?
As a freelance contractor, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are protected with an independent contractor insurance. We recommend you see an insurance or contact our Support Team.
How do I report a safety incident?
At DishwasherHero, we want you to always feel safe and comfortable when engaging with our platform. Nothing is more important to us. If you are involved in an incident that you believe threatens your personal safety, please first call the local authorities or your local non-emergency assistance line. Then contact us through Support Team as soon as possible. A member of the DishwasherHero team will quickly reach out to you.

Can I refer you to some business?
Yes, you can and you will make some money out of it. If you refer a business and they try DishwasherHero based on your referral, you’ll earn a referral bonus after they make their first booking. How are dishwasher services priced?
All of our services are billed hourly. Depending on your city, service price may vary. However, we can tell you that we have the lowest rates in the industry. Trust & Support Booking Fees may varies between (2% – 5.00%) depending on your city.
What is the minimum booking hour?
The minimum hour is four (4) and a maximum twelve (12).

How much does it cost to use DishwasherHero compared to other staffing service?
We are “pay as you go” service. We are very transparent and that is why we became the biggest brand and built a trusted business in every city we operate. You can see the full cost of your invoice. With us, you will save and average of 45% compared to other agencies.
What is the difference between DishwasherHero and other staffing agency?

Can I pay with a debit or credit card?
You can pay with a debit or credit card. You choose the one which work best for you.
Why do you need a debit or credit Card?
DishwasherHero is a cashless platform, so booking a dishwasher requires a valid debit or credit card. We ask for this when you’re booking a shift to verify your identity, to validate your card for payment and to secure a pre-authorization to make sure that the funds are there to cover the cost. Please do not worry. You will not be charged until after the shift is completed.
Is my payment transaction secure?
All payment transactions on our platform are secured. Your personal details are secured. We use the best and the most secure payment gateway. For more information, please contact our Support Team.
Would I get a receipt on transaction on my credit card?
We will send a receipt after every transaction processed on your credit card.
When are we billed?
When booking with DishwasherHero, there will be a preauthorized estimated amount, plus a 20% buffer on your credit or debit card. You will be billed following the end of the last shift booked. If you book for more than one day, an estimated amount will be preauthorized on your credit card. If you have multiple bookings within a day, we will only authorize one payment. We’ll process the whole payment with the validated hours on the next day.
Can I change my payment method?
Yes, you can change your payment method. You can choose between a credit card or a debit card. For more information, please contact Customer Service.
Can we pay our invoice with a cheque?
No. All transactions are done online either with a credit or debit card. However, alternative payment methods may be available for qualifying accounts. Please contact our Support Team regarding alternative methods.
Would I be charge for shift I want to cancel?
Any shift booked on our platform is charged. If the shift is confirmed, there will be a minimum of 4 hours charge of each bookings.
I have an issue with my invoice. How can I reach you?

BOOKINGS
How do I create an account?
It just takes 60 second to create an account then you will be good to book your first dishwasher online. Once you make your booking, expect to get a phone call from our Support Team just to introduce ourselves.
How do I make a booking?
It is very easy to make a booking on our platform. You can make it through our website. We will ask for some personal details, your business address and payment address. After that, we will send you a confirmation email and you click on the link to activate your account. Never forget that a booking is always a minimum of four (4) hours and that there are cancellation fees every time you book for a dishwasher.
What Does DishwasherHero Offer?
DishwasherHero helps you get your dishwashers whenever you want. You can book a shift with our platform at any time of the day. DishwasherHero will connect you to freelance contractors which washing dishes is what they do best.
How do I get $25 credit on the first booking?
When you book the first time with DishwasherHero you will always get a credit of $25 applicable on your invoice.
Who are our dishwashers?
Our dishwashers are the ones who are looking to work. They are motivated. They have already worked in a commercial kitchen. They are able to join our platform only after if they meet some strict requirements.
What is not include in the dishwashing service?
When you book a dishwasher, the main task is to wash dishes and help out prep. Depending on the occasion, the dishwasher can help or accommodate the kitchen staff during work flow. However, the dishwasher does not clean bathroom, unloading truck, be cooking on the grill, having access to gas pipe or service in front of the house.
Can you send the same dishwasher to my location?
DishwasherHero believes and understand that it’s very important to always send the same person to clean your dishes and we will do everything in our control to make this possible. If the previous dishwasher you had cannot make it, we’ll do our best to find the most suitable replacement. All of our dishwashers are vetted and with experience to ensure that the quality of service is always consistent.
I need the Dishwasher for more time than previously booked.
If you need the dishwasher to stay longer, you have to options. First, ask him he can stay longer. If he can, validate the clock out time. Or second, you can book a new shift. Do not forget all shift are for a minimum of four (4) hours.
I need less staff than previously booked.
You can cancel a shift at any time. However, notice that cancelation fees are applicable. If you need help to assist you, please contact our Support Team.
I am unsatisfied about the service
We apologize if you are unsatisfied about the service you got from our Platform. Our primary goal is to make you happy with every single booking. If you are unhappy, we will work to make it right. Contact our Support Team by providing as much detail as possible.
Do you have a referral program?
Yes, we do! When you refer another commercial kitchen, they get a credit off their first booking. Once they have been invoiced after their first shift, a monetary credit is applied to your account. You can refer as many commercial kitchenn you can but you cannot refer a member part of the same organization as you.
ABOUT LATENESS, NO-SHOW AND SERVICE
About our pledge for best experience
When the matter is lateness, no-show or bad attitude, it all affects the experience our clients are expecting to have with the DishwasherHero brand. We take those matters very seriously. The consequence for a dishwasher is to deactivate. We are against lateness, no-show and bad attitude. DishwasherHero takes it very seriously. The dishwasher will face the consequence to be permanently remove from our platform. We will respond to your urgent issues within minutes.
Can I tip the dishwasher myself?
While tips aren’t expected, we’re allowed to accept them. Some of our clients prefer to tip a little at the end of each service. You can also leave a review on our website or Facebook page. We love hearing that our work is appreciated.
What is the dress code of the dishwasher?
All dishwashers are aware that their dress code is black (pants, trouser, shirt or t-shirt and non-slippery shoes). If you consider that the dishwasher is not wearing the proper attire or is unfit to work, you can cancel the shift at no cost. If you want a replacement, just contact our Support Team and they will do the necessary to make a new booking for replacement as soon as possible.
Do we have to pay breaks?
Based on some legal norms, a worker is allowed for an uninterrupted time to rest during their working day, if they work more than 6 hours a day. However, it is up to your discretion to pay or not.
My dishwasher is late
The dishwashers who joins our platform are aware of the quality of service that our customer are expecting. One of them is to show up on time and be reliable. One the consequences is the risk to be removed from our platform. However, sometimes, situations out of its control may happen. Please be understanding and patient. When you book with our platform, please allow 15 minutes after your appointment is scheduled begin, before reporting lateness. We know you may not have time to wait and we apologize for the inconvenience.
What to do when the dishwasher is very late or did not show up?
We pay our dishwasher the best wage in the industry in order for them to show up on time and to make sure you have the best experience with DishwasherHero. We are against lateness and no-shows. When reporter by a client, there is a greater chance that the dishwasher will be automatically removed from our platform. We must say that our dishwashers always show up on time. We have a very low rate of no-shows. In the case that happen, please report to our Support Team in order to find a replacement right away.
What to do when there is a no-show?
If the dishwasher does not show, we apologize for that. You should never deal with uncertainty. In those situations, to have a faster service, you can contact our Support Team and give us the details about situation in order for us to get you a dishwasher quickly. You can also book another dishwasher and our Support Team will arrange the necessary on your invoice.
I have a no show, will I be billed for it?
No. You will not be billed for a dishwasher that did not show up. We apologize for that situation. In fact, the dishwasher will be fired on the spot. If the dishwasher work for less hours than scheduled, you will only be billed for the hours worked.
We are requesting a refund of credits
If there is any issue with a refund, we will credit your account if you cancel a booking that was already been billed. For this matter, simply contact our Support Team and give them details about the situation.
The dishwasher left early before the end of its shift
If a dishwasher left the shift unfinished, we apologize for that. Please contact our Support Team so we can fix the situation right away.
What if something is damaged or break during a service?
We treat every customer with the outmost respect. If something happens to break during the shift, please contact our Support Team. We are fully insured, so claim can be filed when appropriate. However, we consider not to be responsible for glassware breaks, dishwasher machine and drain clogs.
FEES, CANCELLATION AND COMPLAINT

What’s DishwasherHero cancellation policy?
Our platform is made to be flexible. We are here to help our customers find a quick solution to their kitchen matter. However, we have some rule and policy related to booking and cancellation. When using our platform, be aware it involves a lot of parties and a misuse of it has an impact to our work flow. We understand that schedule can change quickly but a short notice causes dishwashers to lose valuable work and revenue. Minimum fees are applicable when bookings are cancelled.

What is the DishwasherHero Trust & Support and Emergency fees?
To help DishwasherHero run smoothly and to cover the costs of the service we provide, like 24/7 customer support, we charge a service fee when a booking is confirmed.

Trust & Support – Platform fees
Depending on your city, the fees may vary between 2% to 5.00%. The fee is calculated from the booking subtotal. If DishwasherHero is required to collect taxes or VAT, the service fee, taxes or VAT amounts will be combined on the checkout page, which could make the service fee appear to be higher. Depending on the laws of the juridiction involved, taxes or VAT may be charged on top of the booking fee. The service fee will include these taxes or VAT charges when applicable.

- Technological Tools and channels to support you in getting your shift completed.
Emergency fees
When you need a dishwasher to cover a last-minute no-show or you need an extra hand, we can help you right away. The faster you book a dishwasher, the better off your kitchen team will be. Weekend, holiday and national special event will cost you a higher hourly rate or emergency fee, or a combination of the two fees. Depending on the latter, rates may be time-and-a-half to double the hourly rate depending on the holiday or special event. We do not charge overtime after 8 hours shift.
DishwasherHero applies a Trust & Support fee to all hourly invoices. You’ll see this fee as a separate item on your receipt once the shift is complete.
What is Peak Pricing?
Peak Pricing is when there is a significant increase demand for dishwashers. This may occur week-end evenings. When our system is on Peak Pricing, it encourages dishwashers to be available to pick more shifts. To avoid Peak Pricing, it is better to place your bookings days ahead.
How Do I Deactivate My Account?
We’re sorry to see you go! To deactivate your account, go to your Account page and click the link that says “Deactivate.” If you have any active tasks, please finish or cancel them before deactivating.
